Marc Douglas Salyers (born February 28, 1979) is an American professional basketball player who last played for BC Orchies of the LNB Pro B. He is a small forward-power forward.
College career
Salyers played college basketball at Samford University with the Samford Bulldogs from 1997–01.
Professional career
Salyers began his professional career in Italy in the 2001-02 season, signed by Cimberlo Novara. He moved to Turkey for the 2003-04 season, signed by Oyak Renault B.K. In April 2004, he moved to France, signed by Pau-Orthez.
He returned to Turkey for the 2004-05 season, signed by Fenerbahçe Istanbul. He next moved to France for the 2005-06 season, signed by Gravelines-Dunkerque. He then went to Korea in November 2005, signed by Busan KTF Magicwings.
In January 2006, he moved back to Italy where he was signed by RB Montecatini Terme, in LegADue. He then returned to France for the 2006-07 season, signed by Chorale Roanne, and in 2008, he transferred to Azovmash Mariupol. On November 14, 2007, Salyers scored 40 points against his former team Fenerbahçe Ülker during a Euroleague match. Salyers won the Alphonso Ford Trophy in 2008.
In 2011, when playing in Georgia with Sokhumi club, he had problems in that his salary was not paid by the club and so he promptly left.
In August 2012, he signed with Al Mouttahed Tripoli in Lebanon.[1] In October 2013, he signed with STB Le Havre.[2] He left them on November 29, 2013, after playing only three games in French League.[3] On December 30, 2013, he signed with BC Orchies.[4]
