Marcel Appiah (born 26 March 1988 in Schwelm) is a German professional footballer for who currently plays as a right back NEC in the Dutch Eredivisie.[1]
Early life
Appiah was born to an Ghanaian father and an Italian mother in Schwelm, but grew up in Ennepetal.
Career
Appiah played in the youth for TuS Ennepetal, FC Schalke 04, TSG Sprockhövel, VfL Bochum and SG Wattenscheid.[2] He made his professional debut in the 2. Bundesliga on 24 April 2010 against 1. FC Kaiserslautern.[3]

His uncle is the former Italian footballer and current German SPD Politician Giuseppe Bianco.[4]
