Marcelo Leite Pereira known as Marcelinho (born 22 June 1987) is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays for Anápolis as a Winger.

Career

In 2008 he signed a contract with Kalamata. After a few months there he signed a contract with Skoda Xanthi and he stayed there for four years and then he signed with Baniyas in UAE, for a fee of €600.000.[1] In Skoda Xanthi, Marcelinho played 115 games( 17 goals, 14 assists) in all competitions.

According to Sky Sport, the 26-year-old Brazilian midfielder has signed an one-year contract (with an option for two additional years) with Catania.[2][3] Eventually, on 12 July 2014, it was officially announced that Marcelinho signed an one-year contract with Catania as a free transfer.[4]

On 18 January 2015 he signed with Atromitos F.C.. The length of the contract is 1,5 years. "Greece is my second home and when I was informed about the interest of the club, I knew I had to come back. Although in Italy the level of footballer is higher, we decided together with my family to grab this opportunity. I had proposals from other Greek clubs but I did not want to go somewhere else."[5]

On 30 July 2015, in a game for UEFA Europa League preliminary round against AIK Solna, Marcelinho was the man of the match having one assist, a goal and a drawn penalty, in a victorious 3-1 away win.[6] On 4 February 2016, he mutually agreed with the club to solve his contract.[7]
