Jose Mari Kaimo was born January 21, 1960 in Manila Philippines is a veteran Filipino journalist, host and anchor.[1][2]
Beginning in 1989, he anchored various newscasts on different TV stations including People's Television 4 (now National Broadcasting Network), GMA Network, and Studio 23. He co-hosted Vilma Santos' show Vilma! in 1989, and some years later, shows such as The Global Filipino on TFC and The Correspondents on ABS-CBN. Mari also anchored "News Central" on Studio 23 from its inception in September 1998 until June 2007. He is currently host for The 700 Club Asia (2007–present).[3][4]

Prior to becoming a newscaster, Mari was a commercial model for brands such as Coca-Cola and Levi's in the late '70s, and played the homesick OFW in PLDT's "Hibang" TVC in 1989. He also appeared on stage as an actor with 'Repertory Philippines.
