Mari Osaka (Japanese: 大坂 まり; born 3 April 1996 in Osaka) is a [1] Japanese tennis player.

Osaka was born in Osaka, Japan to a Haitian father and a Japanese mother.[2]

Osaka has a WTA singles career high ranking of 471 achieved on September 11, 2015. Career High Doubles Ranking of 1214 achieved on July 27, 2015.

Osaka made her WTA tour debut at the 2014 Bank of the West Classic, in the doubles event partnering Marina Shamayko, losing in the first round to Varvara Lepchenko and Ajla Tomljanović.

She is the older sister of Naomi Osaka who is also a tennis player. Osaka speaks both English and Japanese.
