Maria Roy is an Indian actress who entered into the Indian film industry in late 2006.[1]

Career

Maria Roy is a South Indian Film actress primarily working with Malayalam Film industry.[2] Notebook, directed by Roshan Andrews, was her debut movie, in which she played a schoolgirl named Sridevi.[3] She will be back on the silver screen with a new project.[4]

Personal life

Maria was born on 7 November 1987 in Kottayam to Roy. Maria completed her schooling from Pallikudum in 2006 & later completed her graduation from Loyola College Chennai. She is niece to Arundhati Roy & granddaughter to Mary Roy.

Films

Maria Roy has not been seen much in films. She was cast as Sreedevi, the relatively silent girl of the three friends in the film, who dies midway through. Maria made a comeback to films with the 2013 Malayalam film Hotel California,[5] which will have her share the screen with Jayasurya.[6] She has spent 6 years abroad both in UK and New York for detailed studies in different dance styles.[7]
