Marian Ewurama Addy ,born Marian Ewurama Cole (c. 1941 – 14 January 2014) was a Ghanaian biochemistry professor[1] who was the popular host of the Ghana National Science and Maths Quiz.[2][3]
Education
Ewurama attended St Monicas Senior Secondary School for her secondary education.From January 1956 to June 1960 where she obtained her 'O' and 'A' level certificates.She then continued to Holy Child Girls School in Cape Coast.professor Marian Ewurama Addy was the first woman professor to come out of the University of Ghana.
Awards
- CIMG Marketing Woman of the Year, in 1995, for marketing Science.
- UNESCO Kalinga Prize for the popularization of science in 1999.
- The Africa-America Institute’s Distinguished Alumna for Excellence in 1998
- The Millennium Excellence Award for Educational Development.[4]
- Inducted as a Fellow of the Ghana Academy of Arts and Sciences in 1999.
