Mariano Olier (1752-1810s) was a Argentine Catholic priest of the Cathedral of Buenos Aires.[1] He had an outstanding performance in the fight against smallpox epidemic of 1778.[2]
Mariano was born in Buenos Aires, the son of Matheo Olier and Nicolaza Garcia de la Huerta.[3] His grandfather Sebastian de Olier, had a title of nobility granted by the King of Spain.[4]
