Marilena Neacşu (born August 15, 1961 in Sibiu, Romania) is a retired Romanian artistic gymnast who is now a gymnastic coach.[1] She won a silver world championships medal with the team in 1978[2] and was an alternate to the 1976 Romanian Olympic team.[3] She appeared in the 1990 Romanian/Canadian movie Campioana (“Reach for the sky” or "La championne" in french).[4] While shooting for the movie, she met her future husband who was also part of the movie crew as the photographer. She then moved to Montreal Canada with him. They got married and had three children. She currently works at the "Club de gymnastique artistique Gadbois" in Montreal as a gymnastic coach. Her stepfather is canadian film producer Rock Demers.
