Mario Sergio Cortella (Londrina, March 5, 1954) is a Brazilian philosopher, writer, educator, speaker and university professor.

Biography

Born in Londrina, Paraná state, in youth (1973/1974) experienced the monastic life in a convent of the Discalced Carmelite Order, but abandoned the prospect of being a monk for a career acadêmica.[1] Completed his graduation in 1975 at the Faculty of Philosophy our Lady Mediatrix. In 1989 completed her Masters in Education from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC-SP), under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Moacir Gadotti, and in 1997, under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Paulo Freire, also concludes his doctorate in Education from PUC-SP.[2][3]

He is a full professor in the Department of Theology and Religious Studies and Graduate Education at PUC-SP, which is 1977-2012, and visiting professor at Fundação Dom Cabral, since 1997, and was in the GVPEC Fundação Getúlio Vargas between 1998 and 2010.

Held the post of Municipal Secretary of Education of São Paulo (1991-1992), during the administration of Luiza Erundina[4] e foi membro-conselheiro do Conselho Técnico Científico da Educação Básica da CAPES/MEC (2008/2010).,[5] 4-counselor and was a member of the Technical Scientific Council of Basic Education CAPES / MEC (2008-2010) .

Made the "Naughty Dialogues" on TV PUC, the University Channel program.[6]
