Marjorie Anderson
Marjorie Anderson (7 November 1913 – 14 December 1999) was a leading BBC radio broadcaster for over thirty years. From 1940 to 1945 she presented Forces Favourites on the World War II BBC Forces Programme and BBC General Forces Programmes and then its peacetime successor Family Favourites on the BBC Light Programme. Between 1955 and 1968 she presented Home For The Day on the BBC Home Service and is remembered as a presenter of Woman's Hour from 1958 until her retirement in 1972. Anderson's contribution to UK radio is commemorated in The Radio Academy's Hall of Fame.
