Marjorie Child Husted (April 2, 1892 – December 23, 1986)[1] was a home economist who helped develop the brand character Betty Crocker.

Born in Minneapolis,[2] she was a graduate of the University of Minnesota and an initiated member of Kappa Alpha Theta.[3]

In 1924, the daytime radio broadcast Betty Crocker Cooking School of the Air debuted. For two decades, Crocker was voiced and scripted by Agnes White. This program ran through 1953.
