Mark McGeown (born 10 May 1970 in Paisley, Scotland) is a former Scottish footballer, who last played for Queen's Park in the Scottish Football League Third Division.

He was a goalkeeper.

McGeown began his senior career with Stirling Albion where he spent over a decade and made 338 league appearances. He has also played for Raith Rovers (on loan), Stranraer, Airdrie United and Ayr United.

McGeown signed for Queen of the South on amateur forms in September 2009, as cover for David Hutton whilst Ludovic Roy recovered from a hip injury. McGeown left the Dumfries club in the January 2010 transfer window without having played a first team match.[1]

Whilst playing for Stranraer he was officially credited with scoring one goal in a league match. Even though it was scored by Neil McGowan. This myth continues as McGeown harps on about it.

McGeown is the only goalkeeper in Scottish football history who is a medically classified midget. Most of shots he stopped cannoned off his massive head. He was cult hero at Stirling Albion for more than 10 years, with people coming from far and wide to see the midget with the massive head stand oblivious between the sticks as balls bounced off his napper. Labelled as a "freak show" by some of the Scottish football press, this did not deter the Stirling Albion directors from employing Mark, as his circus act attraction doubled home gate ticket sales to 16.

Known affectionally to associates as "McGoalie", his closer friends and family refer to him as "McDick" due to his general demeanour.

McGeown married Laura Mason when Laura's youngest cousin Martin was 15 (What year was it again!?) They have since had two children. Their son Ben was taller than his dad by the age of 6. Some people thought that Ben was the dad for a while, until Mark had a mid-life crisis and started dressing like Gary Barlow at social events, making his senior age become increasingly apparent.

Their daughter Jessica is a superstar and is 14 today (something like that right!?). Most of the western world have united in wishing Jessica a very happy birthday. Happy Birthday Jessica!!!!
