Mark Samuel Weinberg is a former Judge of the Federal Court of Australia who served from 15 July 1998 to 19 July 2008. He is currently a Judge of the Court of Appeal, Supreme Court of Victoria.
He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws (Honors) from Monash University, being the Supreme Court Prizewinner in 1970. In 1972 he received the Vinerian Scholarship for top graduate of the Bachelor of Civil Law from the University of Oxford. At the University of Melbourne Weinberg was formerly Dean of the Faculty of Law as well as Acting Dean and Deputy Dean. In 1975 he was called to the Victorian Bar. In 1986 he was appointed Queen's Counsel and from 1988 until 1991 he was Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions.
