Mark Wesley
Mark Wesley (b. 24 January 1948, Southend-on-Sea, Essex) is an English disc jockey.
Born as Martin Wesley Cole, Wesley started his career on the offshore radio station Radio Essex (using the name Mark West) in the 1960s, but is best remembered working at Radio Luxembourg throughout the 1970s. He joined Luxembourg in May 1971 and was on the station for more than a decade. It was Wesley who announced the death of Elvis Presley in a news bulletin on the station in August 1977, the first reporting of the singer's death in Europe.
After leaving Radio Luxembourg in December 1981, Wesley later worked at Radio Orwell (based in Ipswich) and Capital Gold.
