Martin Gottlieb is the Editor of The Record (Bergen County) and the Herald News. [1][2] From 2008-2011, he was Global Editions Editor of the New York Times.[3] Prior to that, Gottlieb served as Associate Managing Editor,[4] investigative journalist, Deputy Culture Editor, and National Project Editor.[5] Gottlieb was Managing Editor at the Daily News (New York) and Editor-in-Chief at the Village Voice.[6]
Education
Gottlieb attended Queens College and the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.[7] He received a Loeb Fellowship from the Harvard University Graduate School of Design in 1979.
He has taught journalism at the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism[8] and at NYU.[9] In 2008, Gottlieb was the James H. Ottoway Professor of Journalism at SUNY New Paltz[10] and, in 2009, he was a Princeton University Council of Humanities Professor of Journalism.[5]
