Marur
Marur is a village of Anantapur district, in Raptadu mandal, Andhra Pradesh state, India. The population is 3,567. It is a multi-caste settlement, composed primarily of Kamma, Reddy, Kuruba, Boya, and Madiga. Marur is dependent primarily on agriculture.
The village is known for a large religious center, the Sri Chinna Kadirayya Swamy temple.
Marur is located on the NH7 highway, 25 km from the District capital, Anantapur. It is a waypoint for travelers on the way to Bangalore.
