Marwan Fares (Qaa born 1947) is a Lebanese politician.[1]
Doctorate in French literature and professor at the Lebanese University, he is a member of the Syrian Social Nationalist Party.
He was elected for the Greek-Catholic seat in Baalbek-Hermel since 1996, supported by Hezbollah and pro-Syrian parties. He chaired between 1996 and 2005 the Parliamentary Committee on Human Rights.
