Maryam Palizban (Persian: مریم پالیزبان) is an Iranian film and stage actor. She graduated in 2004 from Tehran University-Faculty of Fine Arts in Performing Art.
She played a leading part in Deep Breath, for which she was nominated as best actress by the Cinema Academy, 21st Fajr International Film Festival.
She is passing her Doctorate thesis on Ta'zieh of Theater in Free University of Berlin Germany. Various prizes in Experimental and puppet theatre festivals as the best director and writer.[1]

She composed the poem that was read in Deep Breath in her 18. It is:
من قوی هستم
- از جایم بلند می شوم
- اشک های دیشبم را پاک می کنم
- تمام کسانی را که دوست دارم، بیدار می کنم
- برای صرف صبحانه به آشپزخانه می برم
- در را رویشان قفل می کنم
- و همه آنها می فهمند که گول خورده اند!- آنجا حمام است! آن هم حمام آب سرد!-
- همه چیز را آتش می زنم
- سرم را می تراشم
- داد می زنم:
- "من قوی هستم"
- خورشید می ترسد
- و دیگر بیرون نمیآید
Which its translation is:
I am strong
I Get up
I wipe my last night tears
I wake up all the people I like
I take them to the kitchen for breakfast eating
I lock the door on them
And all of them realize that are cheated! - There is the bathroom! Cold water bath
I make a fire
I shave my head
I shout
"I am strong"
The sun fears
And doesn't rise
