Mason Pearson Brushes

Mason Pearson Brushes is a British company specialising in the manufacture of hairbrushes.[1] In the mid 1860s a Yorkshireman called Mason Pearson came to work at the British Steam Brush Works, in the East End of London. In 1885 he invented the "pneumatic" rubber-cushion hairbrush which became the company's primary product and is still on sale, little changed from the original design.

Mason Pearson hairbrushes are sold worldwide[2] and are cited as the hairbrush of the UK royal family. The family business is still passed down through generations and is currently run by the Mason-Pearson family in London today.

Elephant Parade 2010 in London included the "Mason" elephant which celebrated the concept of re-use using natural rubber off-cuts from Mason Pearson. This elephant was then auctioned off for charity for £30,000 pounds.[3]
