Matt C. Harris
Matthew Carmichael Harris is an American venture capitalist. He co-founded Village Ventures with fellow Williams College graduate Bo Peabody.
Harris is the son of Jay R. Harris and Nancy Lee Harris, both professors at Harvard Medical School, and the brother of Good Morning America Weekend anchor Dan Harris.
After studying at Williams College, Harris joined Bain & Company as a consultant, and subsequently Bain Capital as an associate.
In 2001, Village Ventures, Inc., and more specifically Harris' role in it, was written up as a case study in Harvard Business Review.
In 2004, Harris married filmmaker Jessica Glass (born 1975), whose father is a physician. Glass was the producer of On Common Ground, a film about reconciliations of former German and American soldiers from World War II, and Swimming on the Moon. Glass received her bachelor's degree from Harvard University and her MBA from Columbia University. Since their marriage Jessica has used the name Jessica Harris and has been involved in producing a radio program about entrepreneurship.[1] Matt and Jessica have one child.
