Matthew Alexander Hunter Correa (born February 20, 1998), better known as Matt Hunter is a bilingual American teen pop singer and voice actor with Colombian-Italian origin.[1]
Career
In spite of his prominent lisp speech impediment Matt has been dubbed by some as the 'Latino Bieber,' due to his large fan-base in Latin America,[2] Matt Hunter Correa says he likes Justin Bieber's music but has his own style.[3]
Hunter Correa has performed live in the United States, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Spain, Chile, Brazil, Dominican Republic, Colombia, Argentina, Costa Rica and Ecuador.[4] In May 2013, he headlined and sold out Chile's 12,000 seat Movistar Arena.[5][6] In December 2013, Hunter performed at the NY Z100 JingleBall Pre-Show alongside Austin Mahone, Travie Mccoy, and 5th Harmony after winning a Z-100 fan voted contest.[7]
In 2013, he released his EP Right Here, Right Now credited to Matt Hunter. It contained his earlier singles "Mi Amor", "Mi Señorita" in addition to the new release, the title track "Right Here, Right Now". He splits his time between Los Angeles, where he records, and Latin America.
In 2014, he added his family name Correa to his already established artistic name Matt Hunter releasing some of his new materials like the singles "Minha Mina Ta Loca" and "Mi Chica Está Loca" as Matt Hunter Correa. He later on rebranded his releases on his website and YouTube channel back to Matt Hunter.
In popular culture
Matt Hunter participated in the Chilean Telethon on December 1, 2012.[8] He has also performed at Teleton USA. Has been promoted in Latin American media outlets, appearing in Chilevisión's youth program Yingo and Chilean Canal 13 talk show Bienvenidos, and he has been covered on Fox News Latino.
As a voice actor, he played the lead role of Diego Márquez in two seasons of Go, Diego, Go!.[9] He also played the same character in Dora the Explorer,[10] (in Spanish Dora, la exploradora). He also released his funny weekly webisode series entitled FuegoFridays.[11]

Matt Hunter was nominated in the "Favorite Pop Artist" category of the 2013 Premios Juventud.[12]
