Mattan Griffel is an entrepreneur, educator and CEO and co-founder of One Month.[1][2] Griffel is also a partner at GrowHack and teaches at General Assembly, an educational institution for entrepreneurs.[3]

Early life and career

Griffel was born in Ramat HaSharon, Israel where he lived for two years before emigrating to America with his parents,[4] first to Pasadena, California and then to New Jersey.[5] Griffel graduated from New York University summa cum laude with degrees in Finance and Philosophy, and worked as a marketing coordinator before starting One Month.[4]

Griffel co-founded One Month, an online education platform, through Y Combinator in 2013 after finding it difficult to locate a programmer to code apps for startups.[6][7] The first class offered was a month long and taught coding with Ruby on Rails.[8] The company raised $1.9 million in second seed round funding in 2015.[9][10]

In 2015, Griffel was named to Forbes' 30 Under 30 list for education.[11][12]
