Matteo da Gimara was a Roman Catholic prelate who served as Bishop of Agrigento (1442-1445).[1][2]

Biography

Matteo da Gimara was ordained a priest in the Order of Friars Minor.[1] On 17 Sep 1442, he was appointed by Pope Eugene IV as Bishop of Agrigento.[1] On 30 Jun 1443, he was consecrated bishop by Giovanni Rosa, Bishop of Mazara del Vallo.[1] He served as Bishop of Agrigento until his resignation in 1445.[1]
