Matthew Twining (born September 23, 1981 in La Jolla, California) is an American actor and musician, best known as the lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist in the American rock band, Level with Timothy Norris. They released their first album "Simplexity" in 2004. In later years, he played with One Day As A Lion, (Odaal), which he founded, alongside drummer Robby Altschuller and bassist Philip Ellis. He has a brother named Gabe.

He got his acting start in two of David DeCoteau's homoerotic horror films. The first was a lead role in the film The Frightening (2002) and the second in a supporting role in the film Leeches! (2003).

Twining's best known acting role came from playing River Carpenter on the daytime soap opera One Life to Live from 2003 until 2004.

He plays piano and guitar, as well as singing lead vocals in his band, Odaal.
