Maud Hospital was a small hospital in Maud, Aberdeenshire, providing psychogeriatric services.
It used to be known as Buchan Combination Poorhouse and Maud Home, and was founded in 1867.[1]
Closure
In August 2005 Aberdeenshire Community Health Partnership issued a consultation document on Older People’s Services, Maternity Services and Diagnostic and Treatment Services which included several proposals for reorganisation of services in these areas.[2] Maud Hospital closed in October 2008.[3][4]
