Maulana Syed Arshad Madani (born in 1941)is the president of Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind.Sheikhul Islam Hadhrat Maulana Syed Husain Ahmed Madani was his father . Maulana Arshad Madani succeeded his elder brother Maulana Syed Asad Madani and became president of Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind on February 8, 2006.[1]
Political approach
He is a stanch critic of sectarianism in India. He is of the opinion that India was divided in 1947 because of sectarianism. He suggests secularism inevitable for the solidarity and integrity of India.[2] He asserts that Narendra Modi is not acceptable to all the Muslims of India. [3]
