Maureen Ursenbach Beecher

Maureen Ursenbach Beecher (born 1935)[1] was an English professor at Brigham Young University who has also been in the past associated with the Joseph Fielding Smith Institute for Church History at that university. Although she has written at times broadly on the history of Latter-day Saint women her main focus has been on Eliza R. Snow and her literary works. She was the founding president of the Association for Mormon Letters in 1976.

Beecher retired from BYU in 1997 after having been on the faculty there for 25 years.
