The township of Etobicoke, Ontario came into existence in 1850 and was led by the township reeve from 1850 to 1967. From 1967 to 1983 the Borough of Etobicoke was served by the mayor and continued when the City of Etobicoke came into being and ended with the amalgamation in 1998:
