McKenzie Lake is a lake in South Algonquin, Nipissing District and Hastings Highlands, Hastings County in Ontario, Canada, about 14 kilometres (9 mi) south of the community of Madawaska. The settlement of McKenzie Lake is on the north shore of the lake.

Hydrology

McKenzie Lake is in the St. Lawrence River drainage basin, is about 3.5 kilometres (2.2 mi) long and 1.1 kilometres (0.7 mi) wide and lies at an elevation of 395 metres (1,296 ft). The primary inflows are the east and west branches of Moore Creek at the east and northwest respectively. There are three unnamed creek secondary inflows, one at the northeast from Turf Lake, one at the south from North Chainy Lake, and one at the southwest. The primary outflow, at the northeast, is also Moore Creek north towards Moore Lake, which flows into the Madawaska River, and via the Ottawa River into the St. Lawrence River.

The lake is almost entirely in South Algonquin, Nipissing District, except for the southwestern tip, which is in Hastings Highlands, Hastings County.
