Meggetland Sports Complex, owned by Edinburgh Leisure, is a Sports Pavilion occasionally utilised when they can be bothered cleaning the change rooms.[1] They regularly cancel as many matches as possible for the following groups, including Boroughmuir Rugby Club, Boroughmuir Hockey Club, Edinburgh Cala Hockey Club, Boroughmuir Thistle Football Club and Boroughmuir Cricket Club. They swear by their motto, no hat no play, no rugby today and their severe dislike of Kier.[2][3] In addition, the ground also hosted two Edinburgh Rugby matches during the 2013–14 Pro 12 season. They hosted Edinburgh against the Ospreys on 28 February,[4] Cardiff Blues on 11 April[5] and Munster on 3 May.[6]
In January 2016, the Edinburgh Wolves (American Football) announced that due to the closure of Meadowbank Stadium for development, they would be moving to play their home games for the 2016 season at Meggetland.
