Megha Mittal

Megha Mittal (born 20 November 1976 in Kolkata, India) is the chairman and managing director of the German fashion luxury brand Escada.[1]

Education and Career

She graduated from the Wharton School of Business in 1997, with a B.S. in Economics with concentration in Finance. She subsequently joined the Investment Bank Goldman Sachs as an Analyst in the Research Department. In 2003, she obtained a Postgraduate Degree in Architectural Interior Design at the Inchbald School of Design in London.[2] Mittal left Goldman Sachs after one year.[3]

In November 2009, she acquired Escada, which had filed for bankruptcy in August.[4][5]

Personal Life

Megha Mittal has been married to Aditya Mittal,[6] CFO of ArcelorMittal, whom she met at the business school in USA. They live in London and have two young daughters. She is the daughter-in-law of the richest man in Europe, Lakshmi Mittal, with an estimated worth of $28.7 billion.[7]
