Menkib
Menkib can refer to the following stars (the name derives from the Arabic منكب mankib, meaning "shoulder"):
- Menkab (Alpha Orionis or Betelgeuse), in the constellation Orion.
- Markab (Alpha Pegasi), in the constellation Pegasus. Miscopied from "Menkib" for β Peg.
- Menkib (Beta Pegasi), also in Pegasus.
- Menkib (Xi Persei), in the constellation Perseus. It is also spelt Menchib or Menkhib. Some gave it for Zeta Persei (ζ Per) instead of Xi Persei (ξ Per).
