Mesitornis is a genus of birds in the family Mesitornithidae. Both members of this genus are found in Madagascar.
There are two species:
- White-breasted mesite, Mesitornis variegata
- Brown mesite, Mesitornis unicolor
There is only one other species of mesite, subdesert mesite (Monias benschi)
