Metarctia lateritia is a moth of the family Arctiidae. It was described by Herrich-Schäffer in 1855. It is found in Angola, Botswana, Burundi, Cameroon, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Lesotho, Malawi, Rwanda, South Africa, Swaziland, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe.[1]
