Metropolis Gold is the only album by Brooklyn hip hop duo All City, composed of rapper J. Mega and rapper/singer Greg Valentine. The album was released October 20, 1998 on MCA Records. The duo was formed in 1993 after the two members met after back-to-back solo performances at the Lyricist's Lounge. All City is best known through their affiliation with hip hop group Onyx, which served as Executive producers on the album. Metropolis Gold featured an all-star production lineup, including many prominent New York producers such as DJ Premier, Pete Rock, Rockwilder, DJ Clark Kent, Hitmen member Ron "Amen-Ra" Lawrence, and EZ Elpee. The album featured the hit DJ Premier-produced single "The Actual", as well as the singles "Who Dat" and "The Hot Joint".
