Mexican Federal Highway 45 (Carretera Federal 45) connects Ciudad Juárez in Chihuahua state, through the Chihuahuan Desert, to Panales in Hidalgo state.[6]

The highway is operated by the Federal Government of Mexico through the management of the Ministry of Communications and Transport Custody is the responsibility of "The Federal Highway Police", which in turn is part of the Federal Police (Mexico) (PF). Highway 45 is part of the Pan-American Highway.
