The Mexican hermit (Phaethornis mexicanus} is a species of hummingbird in the Trochilidae family

Taxonomy

Previously considered a subspecies of the long-billed hermit (Phaethornis longirostris} was split in 2013.

Geographical Range

The Mexican hermit is endemic to Mexico and is found on the Pacific coast in the west and south-west of the country.[2]
