Miami Fashion Week is an annual fashion week held in Miami, Florida, United States. Miami Fashion Week, not to be confused with the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Miami, is held every year during the spring and is held in the Wynwood Arts District or the Miami Beach Convention Center. Miami Fashion Week was started in 1998 and is the world's largest fashion week for Latin American and the Caribbean fashion designers.

The influence of Miami Fashion Week reaches beyond the expected swimwear. As the longest running fashion week in the region, Miami Fashion Week turns out a staggering amount of designs in the evening wear, denim, jewelry, and children’s clothing departments. Miami Fashion Week’s Wedding Pavilion is an invaluable resource for brides-to-be, bridal buyers, or eager, early-planner types.[1]

The founder of the annual event, Beth Sobol, and shareholder Aaron Perry, in May, 2015, after 16 years of holding the event, sold the company behind the event to a group of European investors who plan a global expansion of the brand.[2] One of these changes include the scheduled March 2016 event in which director and producer Antonio Banderas will be the new honorary president of Miami Fashion Week.[3]
