Michel Schooyans

Michel Schooyans (born on 6 July 1930 in Braine-l'Alleud, Belgium) has a doctorate in philosophy and theology and is a priest of the Archdiocese of Mechelen-Brussels.

He is also a Professor at the Université Catholique de Louvain, visiting professor at various American universities, a former professor at the Catholic University of São Paulo, and has many books on political philosophy, contemporary ideologies, population policies, and conducted numerous missions in the Third World.

He is a member of the Pontifical Academy of Social Sciences of the Vatican, of the Royal Institute of International Relations in Brussels, the Institute for Demographic Policy in Paris, the Population Research Institute in Washington.
