Michele M. Christiansen

Michele M. Christiansen is a judge currently serving on the Utah Court of Appeals.

Education

Christiansen received a juris doctorate from the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law in 1995.[1] After graduating from law school, Christiansen served as a law clerk for Judge Tena Campbell, United States District Court Judge for the District of Utah.[2]

Judicial career

In May 2007, Christiansen was appointed as a Third District Court judge until her appointment to the Utah Court of Appeals. Christiansen was appointed to the Utah Court of Appeals by Governor Gary Herbert in June 2010.[3] Herbert stated, "Judge Christiansen has a breadth and depth of experience that will make her a valued member of the Court of Appeals. She has worked in private practice and the public sector, handling criminal and civil matters and interacting with all three branches of government."[3]
