Midhakur

Midhakur is a village in Agra (The land Of Taj). This village is situated on NH-11 Agra, Jaipur Highway. Fatehpur Sikari is only 15 km away from Midhakur. Seven communities are an integral part of this village and people have cordial relations among communities. It is surrounded by seven villages namely Nanpur, Sakatpur, Sahi, Garhi, Sahara, etc.

The population of Midhakur is 12,000.

Economy

The main crop of Midhakur is wheat. There is a traditional system of haath on Tuesday and Saturday in which people get fresh vegetables at very cheap rates. Midhakur has a central market selling commodities ranging from household items to agricultural fertilizer, computers, laptops, telecommuction (B.D.Enterprises) etc. There is a very famous book store and readymade garmets store named as Jain Book and Readymade Store. Additionally, banks such as the State Bank of India, Canara Bank, and Bank of India provide banking facilities and ATM services in Midhakur.

Government

One more traditional thing in Midhakur is that the people of Midhakur solve their mostly problems in the panchayat which is conducted by some people called panch. This panchayat is headed by the sarpanch Mr. Badan Singh Solanki.

Infrastructure

This village has proper medical facilities and the construction of a government hospital has fostered the growth of community health. There is a railway station of NCR region in Midhakur. There is a police station also for a positive environment.

Education

There is one government intermediate college named Janta Inter College. There are also two primary schools and one Saraswati sishu mandir. Moreover, there are three private colleges affiliated to C.B.S.E which have been imparting education to the children of village along with children of adjoining villages.
