Midlands Engine

The Midlands Engine is a proposal to boost economic growth in the West Midlands and East Midlands regions of England by the 2015-20 Conservative government in the United Kingdom.[1] It follows the similar "Northern Powerhouse" proposal.

Business Secretary Sajid Javid has ministerial responsibility for the proposal.[2]

Transport

The government has funded Midlands Connect to improve transport links in the two regions.[3]
