Midnight and Jeremiah (OCLC 9091853) is a 1943 children's book by Sterling North, which was the basis for the 1948 Disney film So Dear to My Heart.

Set in early 1900s Pike County, Indiana, the story is about a boy and his quest to raise his "champion" lamb and show him at the Pike County Fair. He must overcome the obstinate objections of his loving, yet strict, grandmother; Jeremiah's uncle Hiram is the boy's steady ally.
