Midway is a suburb of Swadlincote, South Derbyshire and is north of the centre of the town. Midway derives its name from the fact that it is placed midway between Ashby De La Zouch and Burton upon Trent, Nearby villages include Newhall, Church Gresley and Hartshorne, which is further east.

Transport

The A511 runs through the north of Midway and links Burton upon Trent and Ashby-de-la-Zouch. Also, the B586 runs north in the east of Midway and if going south will end in Measham, via Albert Village, Donisthorpe and Oakthorpe.

There are various pubs in and around Midway; these include the Midway Inn and the Wheel Inn, which are on the A511. there is also the Railway inn and the Angel inn which are located near to Eureka Park
