The track was written and produced by Rafael Pérez-Botija, and became another smash hit for Iglesias. With this song, the singer peaked at number 1 on the Billboard Hot Latin Tracks charts for the eight time consecutively, the first artist to achieve that feat.
Chart performance
The track debuted on the United States Billboard Hot Latin Tracks chart at number 5 on 2 August 1997[1] and climbed to number 1 the following week, spending four weeks at the summit.[2] The single spent 10 weeks inside the top ten.
