Mike Evin is a Canadian singer-songwriter originally from,[1] and (as of March 2009) based out of,[2] Montreal, Quebec. He has relocated several times to several different cities, including Toronto,[1] and Halifax.[3] Evin's primary instrument is the piano and keyboard instruments, though he also played guitar on his first album. His main touring piano is a small 64-key upright he named Beatrice.[4]

Evin has released three albums and one E.P. since 2001. His second album, I'll Bring The Stereo, was co-produced by Barenaked Ladies bassist Jim Creeggan, and his brother, former Barenaked Lady Andy Creeggan. Both play on the album, along with a host of notable Canadian musicians; Tyler Stewart and Kevin Hearn, also of Barenaked Ladies, Kurt Swinghammer, Dave Matheson, Gary Breit, and Ian McLauchlan, among others. His follow-up E.P, Let's Slow It Down was produced by Don Kerr.

Evin has performed both with a backing band, and as a solo act. In February 2009, he was an artist on the Barenaked Ladies' cruise, Ships and Dip V. He performed several shows backed by the Creeggan brothers, and Tyler Stewart.
