Michael Shawaryn (born September 17, 1994) is an American baseball player for the Maryland Terrapins.[1]
Career
Shawaryn was recruited by Duke, Maryland, Louisiana State, Stony Brook and Vanderbilt.[2] Shawaryn in the end chose Maryland, persuaded by the pitching coach who went to his games on the Terrapins off days.[3] Shawaryn was previously drafted by the Kansas City Royals in the 32nd round of the 2013 draft, and did not sign because of his committment to Maryland.[2] Coming into the 2016 season, Shawaryn was named a first team All-American.[4]
