Mikhail Kogan
Mikhail Borisovich Kogan (Russian: Михаил Борисович Коган; September 5, 1893 in Zhitomir, Russian Empire – November 26, 1951 in Moscow, USSR) was a well-known doctor, a head of the therapy department of 2nd Moscow Medical Institute. He treated well-known people as Samuel Marshak, Martiros Saryan, Dmitri Shostakovich, Vyacheslav Molotov and others.
He was one of the doctors named in the fabricated Joseph Stalin's Doctors' Plot in 1953 in spite of the fact that he had already died by the time when the first article about the plot was published.[1]
He was the brother of Boris Borisovich Kogan, who was also a doctor named in the Doctor's Plot and later arrested, and jailed.
