Tasbiha Binte Shahid Mila (Bengali: তাসবিয়া বিনতে শহীদ, better known by her stage name Mila Islam) is a Bangladeshi singer. She sings songs in the fusion and folk genres.

Earlier life

Mila completed her HSC from Chittagong Cantonment Public College. Being born and brought up in an army society, Mila moved all over Bangladesh all her life. From the age of three, music has been her passion and she took classical training from her ustads and mother who has been a Nazrul-giti Singer herself.After finishing her SSC, she decided to persue a carrier in what has been her passion all her life. She started working on her music with the aim to release her 1st solo album with a bang where she did succeed.

Career

Mila got her break with "Fele Asha" of her first solo album which was released in 2006. This album was composed by a number of music directors. In 2008,her second solo album, Fuad featuring Mila "Chapter-2" was released.[1] This album was composed by music director Fuad. In 2009, Fuad featuring Mila "Re-defined" was released as Mila's 3rd album which also was composed by Fuad.[2]

Concert

Mila performed at Bangladesh China Friendship Conference Centre on November 19, 2008 in Fuad Live, a music event featuring live performances of songs composed, re-arranged and mixed by Fuad.[3]
